Hometown: Southern California
How did you start singing?I surprised everyone, including myself, at age 8 when I sang for the first time in a beauty pageant for the talent competition. I belted out Patsy Cline's "Crazy", and was crowned first place in the pageant.
Who's your inspiration?I am very driven, I think I was born to grace the stage since talent is prominent in the Kalil gene pool. My father, Frank Kalil, played center for the Buffalo Bills in the 1980s alongside Jim Kelley, and my mother, Cheryl Kalil, was crowned Miss California in 1981, as well as having her own band. My older brother, Ryan, played center for University of Southern California with teammates Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart, and now plays for the Carolina Panthers in the NFL. And my younger brother, Matt, currently plays left tackle for USC.
Why do you want to win Talent?Music is my true passion, my influences are many and very diverse, from Shania Twain, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Keith Urban to Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson and various pop and rock groups. I began recording demos, and learned guitar and piano at age 13. At 14 I started writing my own songs, and recorded them in the studio with help from professional song writers and producers. I have been signed with Elite and Ford modeling agencies, and have done runway and ads for Teen magazine, Guess, and Union Bay. I am so excited to be a finalist for "Talent" The Casting Call. Thank you to all of the people who have supported and voted for me, I am so grateful to you for helping me to realize my dream!!!
